About The Angler

The Angler is a traditional fish and chip restaurant located in the heart of Northallerton.

For more than 30 years, this High Street location has served local residents and visitors with freshly prepared fish and chips. Now under experienced new ownership since May 2026, The Angler continues that tradition with quality food, friendly service and a warm Yorkshire welcome.

We use fresh fish from Hull and cook using traditional beef dripping for the authentic flavour customers know and love.

Whether you’re joining us in the upstairs restaurant or calling in for a takeaway, our aim is simple: great food, generous portions and an enjoyable visit every time.
